Some skies ask you to stop what you're doing. This one did.
Taken in July 2025, at approximately 9:25 PM, roughly 20 miles south of Missoula, Montana, this photograph came from a short trip with some of Adam's best friends, the first time in several years all of them had been together. The trip mixed exploration, adventure, relaxation, and good music, the kind of trip that does not need a detailed itinerary to matter.
Then the sky turned pink and blue and impossibly bright, and it stopped him in place. The color reached back to something simple: the bright cotton candy colors of his youth, a small memory carried forward by an enormous sky.
A Montana evening, a reunion of old friends, and a sky that would not be ignored.
