The sky opens wide over an ordinary walk, and for a moment autumn holds nothing back.
Taken in Adam's neighborhood in October 2025, this photograph came from a walk with his dogs on a sunny, somewhat cool day. A dramatic sweep of cloud stopped him mid-step: peak fall color along the tree line, a wide blue sky doing something rare.
The moment carried more than color. It sat close to family, to Halloween and Thanksgiving on the calendar ahead, to the small rituals of shared time and self-care that autumn seems to make room for. No photograph holds all of that at once, but this one tries to keep a piece of it.
A quiet section of a neighborhood, on a walk like any other, until the sky said otherwise.
